DKRZ Tech Talk: Profiling and tracing with Score-P & Cube - ICON study case

This talk will give a brief overview of profiling and tracing for performance optimization of scientific applications, with a focus on practical usage of the Score-P and Cube tools on the Levante HPC system. Using the ICON model as a case study, we will walk through the typical workflow for collecting and analyzing performance data, including:
- How to get started with Score-P on Levante
- How to instrument ICON for profiling and tracing
- How to visualize and interpret results using Cube
- Common steps and tips for identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks
The talk is aimed at users with little to no prior experience in code performance optimization, as well as those interested in further enhancing ICON’s performance using open source tools.
