DKRZ Tech Talk: Retrievals from StrongLink: new workflow and outlook

This TechTalk gives an overview over the commands and scripts we currently provide to our users for retrieving data from the DKRZ tape archive. The talk is meant for users of all levels of experience because new tools released in 2025 are presented. A TechTalk focusing on archiving will follow in June.

Since February 2025, the slk_helpers have their own recall and retrieve commands which are more convenient than the classical slk recall and retrieve commands in multiple situations. Additionally, new SLURM wrapper scripts around these commands are provided which considerably automatize the recall and retrieval process for large amounts of files. Usage examples of these commands and scripts will be part of the TechTalk.
