The planned program session is from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (with coffee and lunch breaks in between). After that, we will still be around to address any specific topics/issues.

Data Management:
1) Introduction to Data Management Planning and what the benefits for your everyday work can be, including a demonstration Freva, the Free Evaluation System for Earth System Modeling maintained at DKRZ (Dr. Ivonne Anders, Dr. Martin Bergemann, DKRZ)
2) Availability and accessibility of large-volume datasets hosted at DKRZ (CMIP3/5/6, ERA5, CORDEX, DYAMOND,…) using metadata-driven data access (catalogs), including an extensive hands-on session. An overview of DKRZ long-term archiving services WDCC and DOKU will also be given. (Fabian Wachsmann, Marco Kulüke, Dr. Andrea Lammert)
