This workshop is organised by the AtMoDat project.
We will explain the scope of the workshop and the schedule.
In this session, we will explain the FAIR data principles and how they apply to atmospheric model data.
We present the ATMODAT standard, which is a newly established guideline for the FAIR publication of atmospheric model data. Subsequently, we introduce the ATMODAT Standard compliance checker which is a tool to evaluate if netCDF files.
Finally, we explain the CF Conventions and how CF-compliant data files are produced.
In this session, participants will learn how to use the ATMODAT Standard compliance checker and the CF checker and how to read output of these checkers.
We will do this first with test files, but advanced users can start applying the checkers on their own data.
Workshop break.
We offer individual consultation slots during the break. If you are interested, please send us an email and let us know what data standardisation aspect you would like to discuss with us.
In this session, we offer participants the opportunity to bring their own data so that we can work on them together to make them more standardised.
