DKRZ Tech Talk: StrongLink Archival Basics

The talk will give a broad overview over the DKRZ tape archive and, then, focus on basics and best practices for copying your data to tape. Particularly, we will deal with the questions:

• How do I use the command line interface of the tape archive?
• What is the preferred file size for archival?
• How do I easily pack my data for archival?
• How do I verify whether my files were properly archived?

This talk is meant for users who have no or low experience using the DKRZ tape archive and, particularly, the current archival software StrongLink.
